A single Power over Ethernet DIMM upgrade provides Power over Ethernet capability to 24 ports. Upgraded systems are IEEE802.3af compliant for delivering in-line power, over Ethernet cables. Power over Ethernet technology eliminates the need for electrical outlet and dedicated UPS near IP powered devices, and allows power to be consolidated and centralized in the wiring closets, improving the reliability and resiliency of the network.
