BladeCenter has always provided a variety of Fiber Channel, DAS and NAS options for customers to select from. The portfolio now includes iSCSI, SCSI over Ethernet. iSCSI technology combines Ethernet, SCSI and TCP/IP to deliver a non-Fiber Channel Storage Area Network using stable and familiar standards. This iSCSI Expansion Card option is a hardware initiator that provides iSCSI communication from the blade server to an iSCSI storage device.
