The HP StorageWorks 1510i Modular Smart Array is an iSCSI based 2U controller shelf that connects to both enterprise-class SCSI and Serial ATA (SATA) disk enclosures. This combination provides customers with a low cost, high capacity storage solution. This solution has been designed as a hardware foundation for which future solutions can be designed and implemented for investment protection. The MSA1510i with up-to-eight attached SATA enclosures can provide the customer with up to 48 TB of capacity.
