The Cisco WAE-511 Wide Area Application Engine provides customers with a low-cost entry point while providing high performance for small offices. Based on the Intel Celeron processor, the Cisco WAE-511 architecture has two front-loadable Serial ATA (SATA) disk drive bays. Customers can use a single drive or populate both bays for additional storage capacity or disk redundancy. The Cisco WAE-511 can be configured with either a Fiber Channel host bus adapter (HBA) for interfacing with a storage-area network (SAN) or an MPEG video decoder for baseband video capability. Either the Fiber Channel HBA or MPEG decoder can be installed in the Cisco WAE-511, but not both.
