To further maximize customers' investment protection, the AS5300 is capable of terminating analog modem, ISDN, wireless GSM V.110 and voice calls on the same chassis from the same bearer line. This enables ISPs and enterprise network managers to meet traditional dial in needs while supporting the migration to new world technologies with integrated data, voice, and video.Due to the superior design of the original AS5300, Cisco was able to double the modem density of the server from 4 PRI to 8 PRI, add 4 high speed serial WAN ports, and still maintain an average of more than 100 packets per second per port performance. This allows the AS5300 to continue to provide the highest performance of any access concentrator on the market. When optioned with the internal redundant power supply, the AS5300 becomes the most reliable access concentrator on the market in a 2 rack unit high chassis. With it's true-load sharing capabilities, the internal redundant power supply in the AS5300 provides hot failover, environmental monitoring, variable speed fans, SNMP management, and a mean time between failure of over 500,000 hours!This AS5300 Series chassis comes with preinstalled 60 digital modem modules as well as with 4 ports E1/PRI.
