Cisco access analog station gateway models provide a connection path between the enterprise packet telephony network and Plain Old Telephone System (POTS) devices such as analog phones, fax machines. Analog Station Gateways also allow you to connect external applications such as voice mail, IVR, and automated attendant using POTS foreign exchange office (FXO) trunks. The AS-8 model accommodates eight voice-over-IP (VoIP) gateway channels, respectively.
