The 16-port Gigabit Ethernet switching module (WS-X6516-GE-TX) provides 16 switched, 10/100/1000BaseT Gigabit Ethernet ports. The ports have RJ-45 connectors for Category 5 UTP. The WS-X6516-GE-TX module has a single fabric channel interface. The switching module is upgradable to support distributed forwarding with an optional Distributed Forwarding Card (WS-F6K-DFC).
