This small form-factor pluggable optic module (SFP) provides the long-reach, single-mode optical interface for the Cisco 12000 series Internet router. The SFP interfaces with the router's high-speed switch fabric and provide duplex LC single-mode connections in supported line cards. SFP is provided with a latching mechanism that is used to disengage the module from the line card.
