The second-generation Cisco IP Phone 7910 brings state-of-the-art technology to voice communication solutions. Cisco Systems, the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet, now delivers new opportunities for rapid deployment of classic and New World voice applications with high-quality voice instruments that use IP transport technology. This allows the consolidation of data and voice into a single network infrastructure, including a single cable plant; a single switched Ethernet fabric for campus or branch offices; and unified systems for operations, administration, and management (OAM) for data and voice. The Cisco 7910 is the basic telephone primarily for common-use areas that require only basic features, such as lobbies, break rooms, and hallways. This single-line phone also provides four dedicated feature buttons, line, hold, transfer, and settings, located prominently under the display. A cluster of six feature access keys is located above the volume control rocker switch. The factory default configuration for messages (msgs), conference (conf), forward, speed dial (speed 1, speed 2), and redial can be programmed by a system administrator to perform other functions, such as Call Park, Call Pick-Up, and Night Service, as well as additional speed dials and other traditional telephone features.
