The E1/PRI feature cards provide the channelized interface necessary to handle digital and analog calls terminated in the circuit. The E1 card is software switchable between channelized E1 (R2) and ISDN PRI when the AS5200 is loaded with MICA modem modules. The E1 card only supports ISDN PRI when the AS5200 is loaded with Microcom modems.
