The Cisco CWDM GBIC solution offers a convenient and cost-effective solution for the adoption of Gigabit Ethernet in campus, data center, and metropolitan-area access networks.The Cisco CWDM GBIC solution has two main components: a set of eight different Cisco CWDM GBICs (one for each of the eight different "colors" or wavelengths) and a set of ten different Cisco CWDM optical add-drop modules (OADMs).
