Cisco Content Engines (CE) are an essential piece of an Internet Content Delivery Network (ICDN) architecture, designed to accelerate delivery of static or streaming media files from the edge of the network to the desktop. Managed centrally by the Cisco Content Distribution Manager (CDM), deployment is simple, fast and extremely scalable. Utilizing the Cisco Content Routing and Content Switching technologies, users are transparently connected to the edge devices for high bandwidth file delivery of rich media content. Depending on the applications, CEs can be deployed in a variety of configurations or edge locations allowing customers to offer premium web services and "supercharge" their existing web environment.Cisco CE-7320-ICDN is a 7U, high performance solution with 180 GB internal storage designed for ice provider POPs or Data Centers. The Cisco CE-7320-ICDN provides edge delivery of HTTP or streaming media file formats including QuickTime, Microsoft and Real. The ICDN Content Engines are configured and managed centrally by the Cisco Content Distribution Manager.
