The alarm relays are controlled by system software through Control Bus commands. The Alarm Relay Module (ARM) interface with the Control Bus allows the card to receive alarm signals from the Nodal Processor Module (NPM) and to send status signals back to the NPM. The firmware on the ARM decodes the alarms.
