This Fiber Channel (FC) Host Bus adapter option for IBM eServer BladeCenter blade servers contains a single FC controller supporting two independent ports, each capable of up to 2Gbps transmissions. This option replaces the existing Fiber Channel Expansion Card option (part number 48P7061). Enables Fiber Channel connectivity; for HS20 and HS40 blade servers to the BladeCenter 2-Port Fiber Channel Switch Module and Brocade SAN switch modules.
