The 7200 series Network Services Engine (NSE-1) takes advantage of parallel processing in order to offer unprecedented price/performance. NSE-1 delivers wire rate OC3 throughput while running concurrent high-touch WAN edge services. It is the first Cisco processing engine to offer integrated hardware acceleration increasing Cisco 7200 Series system performance by 50-300% for combined "high touch" edge services.
