The 1 Gb Internet SCSI (iSCSI) TCP Off-Load Engine (TOE) PCI-X on Copper Media Adapter (#1986) encapsulates SCSI commands and data into TCP and transports them over the Ethernet network via IP. The receiving side disassembles the encapsulated SCSI command and data into SCSI to communicate with the target storage devices. The adapter uses an RJ45 style connector.
