The FlashCopy feature is designed to take point-in-time copies of logical volumes, which may be used for file restoration, backups, application testing or data mining.The VolumeCopy feature is designed to provide full replication of one logical volume (source) to another (target) within the DS4200. VolumeCopy is designed to allow read-only access to the source volume during the copy process and suspend writes to support point-in-time integrity.
