With this adapter, up to eight EIA-232-D asynchronous serial devices (terminals, modems, printers, etc.) may be attached. The adapter contains all of the electronics required to support eight asynchronous ports and utilizes one I/O card slot. The eight connectors for device attachment are provided in a Multiport Interface cable (FC 2995). The 8-Port Async Adapter - EIA-232 is designed to comply with requirements for EIA-232-D and CCITT Recommendations V.24/V.28 Series 100 (start-stop).
