Sun StorEdge Linear Tape Open (LTO) Generation 2 SCSI Tape Drive for Sun StorEdge L180 tape libraries and Sun StorEdge L700 Tape libraries features a 30 MB/sec. transfer rate and a 200 GB capacity (doubling the capacity and performance of the LTO Generation 1 Drive). The Sun StorEdge LTO Generation 2 SCSI drive, with backward read/write compatibility, will allow customers with LTO Generation 1 drives to leverage their investment. This drive is well suited for customers who encounter rapid data growth, shrinking backup windows and limited system administration resources and that require higher capacity, higher throughputs and automated backup.
